I spent all of last week in MT with the kids helping prepare for Uncle B & Aunt S's wedding.....here is a glimpse into their special day.

Introducing B & S Doll

The Princess Bride

And our not so angelic Angel.....

A try at a family photo - A of course would not agree to much when it came to pictures...so this is about as good as it gets.

Hmmm....Can you guess who is not cooperating in this picture???

The whole clan....don't be fooled - A still was not happy!!

Welcome to the family S!

Uncle B with Grandma D & Grandpa D

Another one bites the dust......

And so - after 2 hours of waiting, searching and swatting - this one is dead. Time of death 12:16 am - method used - THE BROOM...and you would think - ahhhh we've caught them all now - but oh no, E was up at 1 am feeding little E and I guess he decided not to tell me (which was wise on his part) but another one was circling the living room while he sat on the couch. I guess we'll be in for more excitment tonight!!! We both keep dreaming of the day when we can sleep without the worries of mice or our children waking up and sleeping past the hour of 6:15am!!

Standing Guard....

Well, you can only guess who was back to visit last night...YUP - that's right our friendly live-in's - THE MICE. I actually had an exterminator come yesterday and further investigate where they were getting in both in the house and outside the house - which they claim they found their location - BUT nothing has died at the hands of the traps or poison yet.....Last night while I was at the grocery store - E saw one of our fine furry friends scurry under the closet and then into the living room under the furniture...so he stood guard in the hallway trying to cut it off and kill it.

There's a Mouse in the House.....

And how I wish this were the mouse.....

but unfortunately I am afraid not!

Before I left for MT - we discovered a little mouse problem in the basement....we quickly figured out where they were getting in.....caught 3 of them the first night (one of which E caught with a stick I'll have you know) and we thought our problem was taken care of since we didn't see another after that. We promptly disinfected the entire basement - since this is where we saw them...and now - as we returned from MT today I was sitting this evening doing some work on the computer...what do I hear - surely a mouse - somewhere upstairs - the noise came from the kitchen - of course we couldn't find one anywhere but I am quite certain it's here somwhere as he is leaving small surprises for us everywhere. So now, it's 1:30 am and I am not sleeping - only thinking of mice - invading my house and wondering when will I ever get to sleep again.

Going to the Chapel......

We are off to MT tomorrow to spend the week up there getting ready for Uncle B and soon-to-be Aunt S's wedding. It's been a long time coming - they've actually dated longer that E and I have been married and dated!!! We are excited!

They've made great progress - I think now - B will actually put his arm around S.

Summer Storm

We had a doozie of a storm last night.....lot's of rain, damaging hail and wind. Fortunately we didn't see or hear more than about 10 pieces of large hail (golf ball size) outside our house but our neighbors to the North by about 4 miles received about 2 1/2 hours of large hail and rain. Needless to say, there was some major flooding in the area and some major damage to houses and cars. The sky was an eerie color of green with clouds swirling everywhere - we had Tornado warmings out for some time. The interstate 90 right the east of our house even was closed for a while because of the amount of water flowing over it and because of the number of cars that became stranded with broken windshields from the hail.

These pictures of course hardly do the storm justice....but I wasn't brave enough to go too much further outside than the front door.

5 Months Old

Again another month has gone by and we keep asking ourselves where does the time go......E is getting so big and has so much personality and always a smile - we were thinking early on that he would never have a reason to talk much - his sister would do it for him...but were we ever mistaken - E LOVES to talk to us - his most favorite form of communication right now though, is screaming - Happy screams - he really enjoys hearing himself.

Counting.....

We've been working with A on counting to ten.....this is how tonight's counting went:

S: "one"
A: repeats "one"
S: "two"
A: repeats "two"
S: three
A: Four

No matter how many times we kept counting - A just didn't seem to want to remember three but rather skip to four.

Rice Cereal - Night TWO

And this was E's thought tonight!

Up Do.....

A's hair is finally getting long enough to be able to start doing something with it....she will have nothing to do with me placing anything in her hair though - she instantly pulls anything I try right out....so I guess the bath "do's" will just have to do for now.

Big Girl Chair

We've been working to transition A out of the high chair and into the "Big Girl Chair" in hopes that it doesn't become a struggle when E really starts using the high chair on a regular basis - It all started off really well last night until E and I sat down oursevles to eat dinner and then the only chair A wanted was of course - MINE.

And I guess you could say, the suckers we are....she got her way.

Rice Cereal

We gave E his first taste of rice cereal last night,
these were his thoughts........

"Are you sure about this stuff - it's really to eat?"

"Pretty bland if you ask me"

"Ummm, I'm thinking - NO"

"If you want to know the truth, My Bib and Thumb taste lot's better"

And finally A's thoughts - Well she insisted on having what E was having and after one bite....she was convinced otherwise.

More Money......Please

I am not sure it's ever good when your 19th month old is saying "MORE MONEY PLEASE"

Thankfully as of now she is just content with us taking money out of the piggy bank so she can put it back in...I am sure that will change though in time!

P.S. - Notice the Crocs...they were on at 6:56 am this morning!

Toes and Crocs

Look who has discovered their TOES!!!

This is the most common position we find Little E in now......

And what summer would be complete without a hot pink pair of CROCS!

We practically have to pry these off of A's feet - she just loves wearing them - ALL THE TIME!
