Just too cute.....

I couldn't help but to post this picture of A from today. I took the picture before we went to church and I am glad I did - because she found a snag in her tights and managed to pull a hole the size of a grapefruit in them on the way home from church today!! I guess we won't be wearing those tights again.

The long and skinny of it all....

E had his one year check-up on Friday.....and what we have is one long, skinny little boy (who does that remind you of?)
Weight: - 21lbs (20%)
Height - 31 1/2 inches (92%)

Doctors remarks -feed him all high calorie, high fat foods he wants because obviously he is the type that can sit and burn calories - why can't I be that type???

Happy Easter....

Our attempt at a family photo - I am pretty sure it will be years before we can really get us all looking and smiling at the camera at the same time.

A & E - and there Easter Bunny Ears......which they loved!

Grandma and little E

A hunting for her eggs......The Easter Bunny (a.k.a Uncle B and Aunt S) hide them while we were at church......and then we came home and they were gone...so we truly had to search to find them all......11 were found pretty easily - we all spent a good 5-10 minutes looking for the 12th - we think Uncle B was trying to be bit sneaky but we finally found it.

E was more excited about taking all the "grass"out of the baskets then he was about looking for eggs.

E & I later regretted letting little E pull all the "grass" out of the baskets.....it was quite a mess to clean up.

The Great Egg Dye......

This was the first year we dyed eggs with A - and I still don't know if she totally got it....but she had fun all the same.

Some of the finished products.....

This was as good as it got for little E - plastic eggs to play with!

Showers.....

We had a Bridal Shower for my sister on Saturday and A was right there to help with every gift....sometimes a little too helpful.

This would be A displaying her "strong" face.....she didn't get it when we asked her to show us her muscles....but she worked her muscles pushing all the heavy presents over for Aunt B to open.

And finally Aunt B's bow bouquet......you would almost think this shower was A's instead of Aunt B's - being that every picture contained A and not B.

Ahhhhhhh

Daddy come quick - they are dressing me in girl clothes!!!

Little Red Dresses

So, the story goes....Yes - A and E are both wearing red dresses -
Why you ask.....

Well, Grandma J is making both A and cousin Z flower girl dresses for Aunt B's wedding in May....and today she sent us some mock dresses to try on for size. Well cousin Z isn't here yet, so Mommy tried the dresses on E and I tonight.....Little E thought it was pretty great...but we don't think Daddy is going to think it's too great!!

** E wanted me to put a disclaimer in this post -that he wasn't present to protest putting this dress on Little E

E's Birthday Cont......

"Ready to help Daddy with all the mowing this summer"

"Check out my new scoot tricycle - I guess I need to learn how to stand now so I can balance myself a little better"

"My sister even thought it was pretty cool - but she kept running over her toes"

"And finally a singing "dump truck" - I think this will work well in my sand box this summer"

"Thanks everyone - I had a great first birthday!!!"

Happy Birthday!

Our little E is one today - hard to believe how fast this year has gone. E has blessed our lives so richly in the past year and we are so thankful he is healthy and enjoying life to the fullest. Happy Birthday Buddy - We love you!!!

The Day we finally got to bring E home from the hosptial - It was a long 10 days in that NICU

This past Friday night - celebrating his "Big Day" - (a little early)

Some St. Patty's Day Fun

E's Birthday Bash

We ventured off to MT to celebrate E's first birthday with family (has it really been a year???) - These are just a few of the pic's from our night together - E was quite the "ham" and really enjoyed all the attention on him - he was quite funny to watch.

I think we would have to say that E's all time favorite "toy" right now is any ball you can find for him.

"Hey everyone - check out my new croc's - and yup I can still reach and touch my toes!!"

"Books - I love books - I even took the time to read to everyone a little bit of my book"

"Oh and don't forget my sisters pink bracelets - I took a little time to try them on while opening my presents - I think they look quite nice on me."

"Best of all check out my new hat - Mom seems to think I really need something on my head since I don't have any hair yet!"

"And if that wasn't enough fun - then they all sang to me - I LOVED IT!"

"I also got to play with this gooey green thing - they kept telling me to eat it but....."

"I really just preferred to squish it between my fingers"

"Okay, well I guess I gave it a try - not really my favorite - I enjoyed the ice cream A LOT more!"

S: A what are you doing?

A: I am cleaning the windows Mommy!

S: oh really, interesting.

At least someone is attempting....we've lived here 3 1/2 years and have yet to give the windows a good cleaning inside and out.

Beep Beep....

Check out E's new wheels - an early birthday present that I knew once I brought it home today we wouldn't make it until his birthday......1 - because A was with me when we bought it (clearance at Toy's R US) - so it was already assembled and she had tried it out several times in the store and 2 - well it was just too nice of a day today to not give t a try.

It's only 12:30pm as I post this - and it's already 67 degrees outside....kind of a tease...considering tomorrow and next week are going to be drastically colder again - but we will enjoy what we've got today.
