The Art of Cutting...

A has a new love for scissors and wants to cut everything so I finally bought her a "kid" friendly pair in hopes that only her paper would be cut and she wouldn't cut herself....so far so good! She did make the comment the other day though with her bangs in one hand and scissors in the other - "mommy I cut my bangs" - good heavens no - You are in a wedding in two weeks - I could only imagine at that point the damage she could of done.

Funny things is - every time she begins to cut something - her mouth also comes wide open - as if opening her mouth wide - will help her open the scissors wide.

And E just being E - INTO EVERYTHING!!! and not without his nuk!

Old McDonald's Farm

We made our first ever trip to Old McDonald's Farm today.....with many more trips to come I am sure.

It took a little convincing but A warmed up to the calves pretty quickly.

She even got to help give them a bottle of milk.

Not so sure though about the baby goats and lambs.

The biggest hit for the kids was chasing the turkeys that were roaming freely around the park, we were later told that this was not a good idea because sometimes they turn around and decide to chase you.

Feeding the sheep - A would have nothing to do with it - so I ended up feeding the sheep.

And my only picture of E - poor kid...but I just couldn't manage holding him and holding a camera....maybe by the next time we go he will be walking and I won't have to juggle both.

The goats....they are coaxed across the bridge with food.

And finally if you look closely there really are three kids heads poking through....A and two of the friends we went with.

Silly Faces with A

MT continued.........

The joy a whoopie cushion can bring to one child's face

A LOVES to chase bubbles.....

And Saturday was the perfect afternoon for chasing them.

E - enjoying Grandma & Papa's nice green grass

And even showing off some of his walking skills....not on his own yet, but with the assistance of someone or something.

MT Pictures.....

We are in MT this week helping Aunt B with some final wedding preparations (only 3 weeks to go) and to see if we could get Mommy's bridesmaid dress to fit properly since it isn't designed to be a "preganant lady" dress!

Yesterday we got out and spent some time at the park - Enjoy the pictures.

Baby Gender

So tomorrow we find out (hopefully) the gender of this baby. I am completely clueless this time and have no intuitions. E thinks it's girl or maybe he is wishing for a girl at this point because we have one wild little boy on our hands already right now. So what do you think? Leave your comments.

Highchair Acrobatics.....

Little E never ceases to amazes us.....this was tonights dinner show!

I will be interested to see if E is still this flexible when he is 13!

And check out those pearly whites!

Is the snow all gone?

We've had a few people call and ask today if our snow is all gone....and although it is melting fast I don't think it will be completely gone for another day or so - until the next storm I suppose.
A few more pictures to put our great storm in perspective.

The wind blew so hard there were actually areas of our yard with no snow.

The slide - going into a tunnel of snow.

A drift on the North side of our house - the wind actually also broke our fence latch on this side of our house too...so now we need to replace that so the fence will close properly.

E trying to plow through the snow with the blower today......the snow is so wet and heavy it took quite a lot of work to get through it all.

A - treking to her playhouse....

Once she got there - she couldn't get back over the mound of snow to get back out so E had to trek in and get her.

The path is plowed - and we can at least get out of the driveway now without getting stuck.

The Winter that just won't end......

This storm tops every storm I've ever posted about and probably will for a long time......So far we have about 12 inches of snow with wind speeds averaging around 55 mph with gusts even stronger at times. Needless to say Rapid City and the surrounding areas are all having a "SNOW DAY" - unless of course you work for the power company then it is essential you go to work. ( you must click on the pictures to make them larger to do them some justice to how bad it really is here)

Well, this is as far as E got this morning going to work - the end of our driveway and the ole' Nissan got stuck. Our neighbor said we wouldn't get anywhere without 4 wheel drive so we didn't attempt to get the van out and even 4 wheel drive trucks were getting stuck out on our street. E ended up having to call a friend with 4 wheel to take him to work - because he was so desperately needed - we've yet to determine how he will be getting home.

A view out our front door - to the side deck. All of our windows were coated with snow and ice this morning so we couldn't even see what was going on outside without opening the door. Our power went out sometime in the night and finally came back on around nine - thank goodness it was starting to get a bit chilly in the house.

A & E's new playhouse in the backyard - snow drifts all around.

You can see that some of the drifts are at least 3 feet or more when looking how far them come up on our fence.

And the playground - buried....but by tomorrow it will all be gone.

And Finally the snow drift on our neighbors house behind us......all the way up to there 2nd story window.

NO MORE SNOW!!!

A's expression pretty much sums it up ......were in for 6-12 more inches of snow today and tomorow. On Tuesday our warmest day yet - almost 80 - A was in shorts but insisted on wearing her winter hat outside - I guess I can understand her confusion.
