Eli's 5th birthday was thrown into a mix of other event planning and another party....so simplicity was the way to go.....

Flashback Friday 11...

5 years ago tonight I was being admitted to the hospital.....preparing for the birth of this little guy....only to find out after he was born....he had some struggles.....

But after 10 long days in the NICU....we finally got to bring him home...happy and healthy!!

Flashback Friday 10....

In honor of my parents' 40th Wedding Anniversary this Sunday....we will flashback to their wedding day 40 years ago!!


Man, they looked like "kids"...oh wait maybe it was because they were......I am pretty sure if I had asked to get married at 18....the answer would have been "NO"......


Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!! We look forward to celebrating with you soon!!

Flashback Friday 9....(On Sunday)

I know this flashback Friday is 2 days late.....but we made a last minute trip to Montana....and it didn't get done.

Today's "flashback" takes us ALL the way back to last year....yes I just needed to re-live the moment....last year at this time we were walking on the beaches of Antigua and enjoying our week long vacation on the beach!! Let's just say we ALL can't wait to go back!!

Gymnastics....is back!

These have to be some of the worst quality pictures I've ever posted...but none the less...they are pictures of something other than a "flashback Friday"......
The girls have been begging to try gymnastics.....so I found a session that would take us to the end of the school year....Monday was our first day and although Ana and Ema are in different classes they both attend at the same time (LOVE THE CONVENIENCE OF THAT!!)


Ema instantly decided she was "too tired" for the class once we got there....that is her scapegoat excuse when she is unsure of something....but as soon as the coach offered a jump on the trampoline as the first "warm-up"...suddenly she was no longer tired!

Flashback Friday 6.....

8 years ago to the day we were looking at this......


And Eric found himself outside later doing this.....



That ended up being a week long project to prevent our deck from collapsing in on our garage....


This would have been the first February we spent together married and the last February we spent living in Minnesota.....and although it is mighty (MIGHTY) cold here tonight...not sure we've seen that much snow in a long time!!

The big BIG bed....

I sold the crib...so it was time to transition to the BIG bed.....so optimistic that it would go just fine....




But this was clearly how Adi felt about this bed the first night...fine to play in and jump on...not so fine for sleeping in....I had to make a last minute dash to a friends house to get a bed rail....and then Eric and I got switch off sleeping with her the first night (NOT SO FUN..but sure glad we opted for the more comfortable twin mattress)....turns out she was scared of the wall...and now as long as she can sleep as close as possible to the bed rail she is fine.

Toothless Grin....

Ana's teeth are starting to fall out like crazy.....she lost number 3 & 4 in a matter of 18 hours....I finally pulled #3 (her top tooth) out...it had been hanging there for a good month....and then I think she realized how painless it was and just decided to do the same to the bottom.....very soon both front teeth will be gone!!

Flashback Friday 5.....

Flashback Friday dates back to October 1997.....a party in the church basement...I believe for my Grandparents' 50th Wedding Anniversary.

This is a picture of all the Doll cousins.....noting in particular my cousin Korey....2nd from the right....today is celebrating his 40th Birthday!!
