California Bound...Thanksgiving 2013....Day 1 and Disneyland......

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend Thanksgiving week with Eric's family this year in California!

Early morning flight...meant breakfast in the Salt Lake City airport....after all our stomachs settled....it was quite the bumpy ride in!!

 

CALIFORNIA!!..First stop In and Out Burger......

We spent the first afternoon just relaxing....playing some games...and enjoying the sunshine!!

 

The kids were brave enough to swim...it was only in the 60's...but with a heated pool it made no difference to them!!

 

Headed to Disneyland - DAY 1

 

First stop was the Carousel......

 Ha...we finally convinced the kids to go on a real ride....without giving them too much info and no room for backing out....cause Eric and I weren't backing out...Splash Mountain....there were lot's of tears before hand....but they all came off LOVING IT!!

We ended the night with DUMBO!!!

California Adventure Park Day 2......

 Almost to the front of Toy Story Mania...and it broke...thankfully we got a fast pass to come back.....

RADIATOR SPRINGS.....this was our main objective for Day 2....what a sight to see....and what a ride....we stood in line for 90 minutes..but it was worth it!!

Still in line...patiently waiting.....

 

 At the end of Day 2 we rushed back to Disneyland park just in time for JEDI Training.....and one excited little boy!!

Eli and Ana were both chosen...couldn't have worked out better.....if we planned it!!

 

We ended the day with the Christmas Light Parade.....fun but CHAOS!!

 

 A great 2 days at Disneyland and California Adventure Park!!!

Our November before Thanksgiving.....

Not sure how much more we could have added to the month of November...it was a BUSY month!!!

 

Ana and I started out the month going to the Secret Keeper Girl event.....it was a show for young girls and a lesson in modesty and loving God above all else. As an added bonus the all girl band 1 Girl Nation was there...and they have since become a favorite in our house!!

 Ana even stayed behind to get autographs afterwards.......

We also embarked on a bedroom shuffle...ALWAYS A TON OF WORK....but we come away with really clean bedrooms.....in the process.....riding mattresses down the stairs is always good fun!

The finished product.....Ema and Adi bunked together upstairs....they love it...not sure I do though...their room has become a constant toy room mess!!

Ana and Eli - though they won't think it's cool forever to share a room together at least for now they are pretty happy sharing a room!!

And yes, we now have an extra bedroom upstairs...that has become the office/den/study/game room....Eric really needed a spot in the early mornings to do homework and since I refuse to have a TV in the living room upstairs...we now have a TV in there too!

A warm day in November brought Christmas Lights to our house.....every year we say we just won't decorate as much the next year...but how can you not...when the lights look this good....I convinced Eric to go back to the regular ole' lights this year...I HATE the LD looking ones....but we paid the price about a week into it...I think we blew 2 fuses....too many strung together (yes, Eric knows you can't put that many together..but I insisted!!)....so our lights really weren't all that GRAND this year!!

This is the before look.....a week later more than 1/2 didn't work!!

Eli's class took a field trip to his teachers house before Thanksgiving for a traditional Thanksgiving meal and some fun time away from school and running around on her wonderful property in the woods!!

Adi's first ever school program....she did SO GOOD and was so proud of all her songs!!!

Ema also had her Thanksgiving program again this year too!! She also did very good.....

And that was November prior to Thanksgiving......stay tuned for the rest of November!
