Second Visit to the Lake.....

Day number 3 brought a much needed trip to the lake again....it was so hot...I believe the heat index was 107 this day.....all we could do was swim to stay cool......

And let the "Games" Begin....today's source of entertainment was crazy jumps off the dock.....

Yup.....there were even some big "kid" crazy jumps off the dock.....

Ema was much more willing to stay in the water once she put on the "water" shoes

This little lady spent most of her time throwing everyone's "floatie" toys into the water....and then we were sent off chasing them as we realized another floatation device, tube, or ball was floating away.....

The Wahpeton Zoo.....

On Day two we set out for the Wahpeton Zoo.....in hopes of going early enough we could avoid most of the heat....ughhh it was SO HOT already by mid-morning.....we made it through the zoo quite quickly and took reprieve in the 1 air conditioned building they had.

Free wagons to use....these girls of course hopped right in......

2 of my little monkeys!!

Charlotte and Adi taking a break....

And no trip to the zoo would be complete without a little dance party by Adi!

A week at G & G's with the cousins.....

From Minneapolis we moved on to Fergus Falls where we spent 4 days with Grandma Judi and Grandpa Hal and all the "Egge" side of the family cousins. It was a great week....with lot's of playing, swimming at the lake, a trip to the zoo, another much need trip to the lake (it was SO HOT while we were there), some fireworks and of course some eating!

The three youngest girls took right to playing when we arrived......

Lake Day # 1........

Miss Charlotte sporting her USA swimming gear........

So after everyone had plenty of "water adjustment" time...it was time to bring on some "creative" games....This first round was a run off the dock....working hard to catch the ball in mid-air.....entertainment for the kids....but some (they shall remain nameless) could not miss out on the challenge......

The kids all lined up....waiting for their turn to run off the dock.....

A great end to the first day!!

Hi-Ho Hi-Ho it's off to Minnesota we go.....

We just got home from 9 days in Minnesota!!
Our trip began with a few days spent in Minneapolis enjoying our favorite hotel with water park, a little time at the Mall of America, Lot's of swimming and a Twins baseball game!!

Then it was back to our hotel to enjoy a day of swimming....for some us the swimming was cut short in the first 10 minutes of being in the water - Adi fell and split her chin open...so the two of us had a lovely trip to Urgent Care and then it was no more swimming for her.

Ema just became a little "fish" this weekend...and couldn't get enough of the "swimming"

It's amazing what a difference even a year makes.....my kids were so much more brave this year when it came to the slides....although I still couldn't convince anyone but Ana to do the family raft with me and even after that...she didn't want to do it again!!

Eric and Ana coming out of one of the tube slides.....

And not a single picture from the Twins Game....BUT....we have good reason.....We were in the last ROW of the highest section in the park......packed into our seats...people all around us....Adi who had no concept of "sitting" and the rest just wanting "eat". Eric and I had our hands full, we barely made it to the 6th inning and I think vowed to never return with kids until Adi is at least 10.....
