1000th POST!!

1000th Post...and what better than to post about our exciting adventure that we got to be apart of today...with our great friends that we met shortly before this blog began in 2005.....They are in the Air Force.....and on Saturday we are sadly saying good bye to them after spending the last 6 years with them!!

So today was Todd's last flight in the B1...and we got to go out the Air Force base and watch from the side of the runway as Todd landed!

Here we are all bundled up and being escorted out to the runway....of course Winter finally decided today of all days to show up!

If you look closely....you can see the lights of Todd's plane as he is approaching the runway

Eagerly awaiting his arrival with our ears covered!!

Taxing down the runway....

SO EXCITED!!

We even had the privilege to watch another one take off....now that was LOUD!

Todd coming in to park....

We chose to leave the babies behind with friends.....too cold and too loud for them!

Amanda getting a lesson in spraying the fire hose because.....

She got to spray Todd down as he came out of the B1....let's just say...today was a COLD day to be sprayed with the fire hose....(barely above 30 out there!)

Guess you could say..."cheap shot".....

We will miss you Patterson Family.....but wish you the best where ever you go!!

A shirt-less spaghetti dinner....

This dinner started out with stripping down Adi for preservation of her clothes, which turned into Ema deciding she needed to remove her shirt and pants to eat her spaghetti, which in turn prompted Ana to remove her shirt and Eli following suit with his...I guess I can't complain too much..I have no spaghetti stains now to try and get out of their clothes.

This was Adi's first "go" at spaghetti all on her own...she started out pretty clean and neat...and ended in the bathtub with a scrub down.

Our "tiger" eating spaghetti....

The "messy" girl...so proud of herself.

**I know you are not wondering...but just for clarification...all adults remained fully clothed at the eating of this meal!!**

***AND I can hardly believe this...but this is my 999th post on this blog....so much pressure for my 1000th post!!

A "splashin" good time...

A work in progress....

We've decided to put a fairly substantial sized patio in our backyard...and what better time to start it than November 12 right!?!?

Thankfully we hired a landscaping company to do all the work.....so keep checking back as we make progress over the winter....

You may be thinking...why now?....We've had an empty lot next to us...and it really is the only access to our back yard for any large machinery....3 weeks ago someone decided to buy the lot and start building on it....so it was kind of a case of....do the patio now or never.....

Veteran's Day Parade.....

Eli and Ema...trying to wait patiently!

5 of 7 kiddos....who went home with more candy from the parade than what they got in their Halloween buckets.

It was a little chilly this morning....

Sweet Louisa slept through it all....

One cutie patootie coming right up......

A Halloween....P.A.R.T.Y......

We had a little party last night with a few friends from church....10 adults....13 kids....and only a few adults that got the "dress-up" memo!!

Such good sports....Eric in fact decided to "add" a little hair back to his head last night!!

11 of the 13 children....just missing a cute little dinosauer and a cute little pumpkin....

Happy Halloween
