No Pants.....

Ema has decided to join the many (or not so many) other Americans or not so bright Montanans in National No Pants Day....which took place in Billings last Saturday. No pants day is becoming a common occurrence in our house though...not just a 1 day event. If Ema can get them off - she will and no matter how many times in a day I put them back on....she still ends the day usually with them off.

Getting 4 kids to look and smile at the same time is quite a task.....but I like this picture none the less!

1 month old.....

Our little lady is 1 month old today.....the past month really being a blur for Eric and I but we are enjoying her so much despite the fact that she suddenly seems to have her days and nights a little confused which seems to mean less and less sleep for us....but she sure enjoys her sleep during the day.

These pictures are again courtesy of my cousin Kalin.....we love having a photographer in the family....now if we only lived a little closer so we could be over taking pictures all the time.

A Freshly Squeezed Update....

It's about that time.....time for an update on Eric and his treatments....

So had I interviewed Eric this is how it would go:

Me: Eric how do you feel?

Eric: Oh Fine.....

Me: How was Chemo today?

Eric: Oh Fine......

Now.....an interview from me:

How is Eric feeling? He is feeling pretty well considering the nastiness of the drugs...he is usually very tired the evening of Chemo day.......but not really sick...just feeling achy and flu like symptoms (not all the time though)

How many treatments does he have left? Eric had his 5th treatment yesterday. He is currently scheduled for 8 treatments - after his 8th treatment (6 weeks from now) they will re-evaluate the tumors and decide if further treatment is needed.

Is the tumor gone? Well we don't know with 100% certainty that the tumors are gone but it would appear that they are. (Tests at the end of 8 treatments will help determine that) The mass in Eric's neck seems to be all but non-existent and in speaking with his Dr. yesterday he was very pleased with how things were going and looking...

What is ahead and how can you pray......
As long as Eric stays healthy his last treatment is scheduled for March 2nd.....Please pray that after this all the tests that are necessary will show that the tumor is gone and no further treatments are necessary.

Holding Adi....

This about explains how "un-interested" Ema is in Adi....I asked if she wanted to hold her....of course she shook her head yes...becuase she does that for everything....but then for her to put any effort into holding or even looking interested in holding her was a stretch to say the least.....



Finally with Ana and Eli standing behind me "hooping and hollering" - we got Ema to actually look at us and smile...


This little guy on the other hand....is all about holding her.

MN Visitors...

Grandma Judi and Grandpa Hal left the extreme cold of MN last week and came to the balmy temps of RC to help us out. We had a great time....thanks for coming!

Party Time......

We had a little family party on Thursday night for Ana.....she waited so patiently all day to open her gifts....




And then it was time for cake.....


On Friday I let Ana have a party with some of her friends....It was a "Princess party"...but really there wasn't anything to "princessy" about the party...the girls lasted all of about 3 minutes in there dresses and then they were on to bigger and better things.


This little princess is always ready for the camera....


This was Ana's choice of dress for the party....



Check out this table of kids.....Ana had 3 friends over and all their siblings....so in all total there were 9 kids at the house...the oldest being 5 and we were missing one special little guy that was sick...so there would have been 10 kids in total.....it was a busy group.


Cake time...I tried something new.....Cake pops....let's just say it was more about the look than the taste....and I would probably never make them again...a little too much work but the kids enjoyed them.

Sweet Ana!!

You joined our lives 4 years ago today and we couldn't be more blessed and proud of you!!

We hope you have a great birthday and we are so excited to see what the next year holds for you!!

2 Weeks old....

Since my Mommy isn't keeping up with the blog...I decided to take over this time - seems that I was 2 weeks old on Monday and it's already Wednesday!


This is pretty much how I spend my day....lounging some where...either my chair, my swing or in someone's arms...but I can tell already I am going to have to compete for the "arms"....there seems to be lot's of other kids around here competing for those "arms" too!


No, my eyes are not red from crying....thanks for noticing though.....seems that my sisters and brother already decided to share some "gunky" eye with me.....there much better now though...(remember these pics were from Monday)


And this is my new quilt that my Grandma Judi sewed and hand stitched for me....isn't it lovely!!

I know everyone wants to know..."am I a good baby?"....Well I seem to think so....but really what defines good?..I sleep most of the day, eat every 3 to 4 hours and have already gone through a few packs of diapers!! I'd have to say my finest hour is about 3am...or just after my middle of the night feeding....I am awake and ready to start my day....but no one else seems to be and there tends to be lot's of grumbling about me going back to sleep....but a kid can only sleep so much!!

Well at this point I'll probably be back to post again about myself....maybe in a few days when I turn 3 weeks so stay tuned!
