We went for a spontaneous drive through the southern Black Hills last Saturday....and we had so much fun!! The colors were close to peak....the weather perfect...and the kids LOVED IT!!
Well...almost all the kids....Ema definitely chose her moments to comply and not comply when it came to pictures!!
We started in Custer with lunch and then proceeded into Custer State Park and onto the Needles Highway....
Our final stop was Sylvan Lake....where we "hiked" completely around the lake!!

Eli LOVES hiking....we really ought to do it more....the kid was begging to go hiking for his birthday....sorry bud...March is still pretty snow packed around here!
