October started out with quite the furry! Storm Atlas one of the largest snow storms on record for Rapid City South Dakota....gave us about 1.5 inches of rain followed by about 31 inches of snow and 70 mph winds...all in about 36 hour time period....CRAZY!!! Needless to say...we were stuck for a few days at home...Thankfully with power...one of the very few that had power throughout most of the storm....Eric got spend 2 nights physically at work and countless hours beyond that helping to restore power to just about everyone!!
When the storm finally let up...there was plenty of snow drifts that became good sledding hills!!
It took me a couple days to dig out...Eric was stuck at work....and really couldn't leave even if he wanted to....to much snow to drive in...but by the 3rd day post storm I was determined to get out.....and eventually we did!!
And a week later it was back to sunshine and t-shirts....we took the kids mini-golfing at Putz and Glo!!
For Halloween this year....we skipped out! The kids were not all that enthusiastic about it all...and had no real strong desires either way....so we decided to go to Family Swim night instead....it was a great decision!!
