Were home....safe and sound! We were so excited to get back to the kids...and they surprised us and came to the airport last night to greet us at 10:30pm.......I think they were just as excited as we were.....they had a lot of energy for it being so late!! (Thanks again Mom and Dad for enduring 8 days with them) - I do wonder though when I will again be called Mommy and not Grandma!!
Onto the events......We arrived on Thurs afternoon and spent the rest of the day just relaxing and getting acquainted with the town and surroundings.....Friday was much the same - greeting everyone else as they arrived. Friday evening we went to a Pub called Chequers.....such good food and great company......I unfortunately don't have many pictures to show from the first couple days.....

A quaint little side building just off the pub.....not sure what it was used for. One thing I did come to observe was the fact that no one seemed to ever be out "watering" there yards, flowers, bushes etc.....and yet they were incredible looking.......It rains so much there really is no need.....Although I will say - we were very lucky - we had some absolutely gorgeous days while we were there with absolutely no rain until the last 2 days we were there - which I guess can be quite unusual to have such nice days with no rain!
