Dinner is our most challenging meal of the day...I try very hard to not make any special orders for the kids and require they eat what we are eating...some nights or rather maybe most nights this proves to be quite challenging....and often we have some very very hungry kids come morning.
Tonights dinner proved to be especially comical....and any person over hearing our conversations would have had a good laugh....
E is always asking to pray...and tonight for some reason he thought he needed to pray before every bite. Then for some odd reason he wanted to "honk" E's nose....so the conversation went like this...
E: Little E take one bite and you can "Honk" my nose.
Little E: "Honk, Honk"
Whatever works - this however did not!!
A has become a bit picky....so our nightly tactics consist of a little reverse psychology.... telling A "don't you eat MY potatoes" - and then she will proceed to usually take a bite or two - thinking of course she is eating "MY" potatoes and depriving me of that bite and then repeating the whole process over and over again...I am not sure for how much longer she will fall for this...but at least we can get her dinner down her for now.
