The Day has COME.....

E is on the move and into EVERYTHING!!!!

We have had to confine the space in which he crawls by closing all doors in the house.

I stepped out the kitchen for a brief second this morning and this is what I came back too....all 100 sandwich bags had been emptied out of their box and he was working on the press n' seal next.

In my attempt to sway the interest of the drawers...I gave them both bowls and wooden spoons to "bang" with - big mistake - for the sake of all ears in the house!

Next stop was the window, and curtains.....thankfully he lost interest pretty quickly in this area...I didn't care so much about the window - but pulling the curtains down could be a problem.

Wonder what your looking at???

First Signs of Spring!!!!
I noticed yesterday, that a few of my tulips were starting to "pop" up through the dirt.

A Sunday Outside.....

After our Sunday naps - we peeled ourselves off the couch and took the kids out to enjoy some fresh air - and although it wasn't real sunny and actually starting to "spit" rain a bit - it was pretty warm.

Here little E - showing his frustration - "how dare you put me down and walk away" He has become quite demanding if he is not getting what he wants.....and putting him down and walking away - definitely does not make him happy.

Yes, that is our Christmas tree - still in our backyard - we know it's almost March - the problem is - you can not throw any sort of "yard waste" in your trash - they do not do a "christmas tree" pick up - so disposing of it becomes quite a challenge. You can haul them into RC and toss them into a pile of 1000's of tree's in which they turn into mulch - but without a truck - getting a dried up Christmas tree into RC also poses a problem. So - who knows maybe we'll just use this tree again next year. Here A is showing us what the Christmas tree did to her purple ball....oops!

This is how our walks always start out - both kids buckled in and ready to go......

And this is how they end up - maybe a few 100 feet into the walk - A really wants nothing much to do anymore with "riding" - she would rather "walk" at her own pace.

Little E, again showing us how happy he is about being put down again.

We even brought A's new tricycle outside yesterday for a try......she hasn't quite mastered the peddling - and then add the steering in and it just goes down hill......so it will require quite a bit more practice...but she was content all the same just sitting on it....while E gave his back a break from pushing her.

Old man WINTER

So I just get done complaining about having no snow and being done with Winter to wake up to an UNEXPECTED - 4 - 5 inches of snow on the ground on Monday morning. Still, makes me really ready to be done with winter - but we took advantage of the snow and dressed the kids and took them out to enjoy the white stuff. (secretly hoping too that the fresh air would ensure some long naps from both of them).

So here is a little glimpse into our afternoon, Enjoy!

11 months too old!

Little E is getting too big too fast!!!
He is hardly our little baby any more and in one month we'll be celebrating his first birthday - hard to believe.

Taking a turn on A's big trike!

If only his legs were a little bit longer - he'd would be peddling through the house - forget learning how to crawl.

And if you look really closely (or click on the picture) - you will see 1 of his 2 teeth - that have come in in very strange fashion. He has one of his bottom incisors and one of his top incisors - on opposite sides.....and they were a painful two teeth - I am afraid we are in for many more months of teething cutting.

Playground Fun

So I've officially decided - I AM DONE WITH WINTER! It has been so cold this year - and we've been couped up way to long in this house - thank goodness for our indoor play gym and a basement full of toys that never get old.

We have no snow to show for - it only comes down in horizontal fashion, so we've been looking at brown for almost 5 months now and even on a somewhat warm day - you can still hardly step outside because the wind is blowing 50mph!
Am I complaining - YES!

Guitar Hero - A style

Look - I finally convinced my Daddy to let me "play" too!

But, really is this song done yet?

Believe me, I CAN DO IT MYSELF!!!

Now let's see, what buttons to I push again? And am I holding it right?

Oh - you want to see my "break the guitar over the knee" trick!?!

Finally - playing some tunes!

But for some reason, I always get "booed" off the stage - I just don't get it.

A Great Face

I couldn't help posting a couple messy faces from dinner tonight. A is obviously much cleaner than she used to be, but all the same wanted her picture taken too!

Can you tell that little E really enjoyed his dinner tonight - I am not sure we will ever get the tray back to the original color.

(yes, I know he is wearing a pink bib - getting him to keep any sort of bib on is a challenge so once it's on - no matter the color - it's not coming off on account of me.)

Look - I can stand....

I'm still not all that steady - and I really can't stand for very long but it sure is fun!!

Guitar and Twirls....

A's newest endeavor has been playing her guitar - air guitar that is.

And twirling with her "pretty dresses" on - tonights outfit consisted of the warm turtle neck she wore all day long and the little skirt that goes over her swimsuit.

Mardi Gras

Little E has all the beads he needs to join in the fun.

A Toy Story

or a case of the malfunctioning toys......

So yesterday as A was playing "ring around the rosies" with one of her dolls and then tossing it to the ground - my first thought - was Toy Story - of course I know Toys don't come to life when we are not around - or so we think - but I thought of this poor doll and the abuse it was taking.

Well as funny as it seems, I had just got the kids down for naps yesterday and was just going to lay down myself when all of the sudden I hear one of the toys (the airplane) break out in song. I was a bit confused to begin with - thinking it was A at first - but I quickly discovered it was the airplane downstairs - and although the toy had been left in the "on" position - a buttom has to be pushed to activate the music - so, perplexed - yes, but it didn't stop me from taking a nap. So then, this morning Little E wakes up about 4am to be fed and E and I get up. E is feeding little E on the couch, I had just crawled back into bed when I hear another toy break out in Song mode (the vacuum) - problem was I couldn't figure out where it was. Come to find out, A had hauled her vacuum cleaner upstairs yesterday and put it in the coat closet with our vacuum - again left in the "on" mode - but you have to move it to make it sing - so now I am beginning to think - twice in one day is a little weird. I told E when he came back to bed, had he been out of town last night I probably would have called 911 because it spooked me so much. Now, if that wasn't enough, this morning I went downstairs to change the laundry and A's talking doll is in constant "jabber" mode, speaking jibberish - and I couldn't get it to stop. I finally had to take the batteries out. I am not sure I can take any more toy malfunctions without beginning to wonder.
